Zoom Ships Consumer VoIPZoom Technologies says it's begun shipping the first product in its ZoomTel Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) product line to five prominent U.S. computer products retailers " CDW, CompUSA, Micro Center, PC Connection, and PC Mall.
The first product in the ZoomTel line is the ADSL X5v, a DSL modem with a built-in VoIP jack that lets users make VoIP calls using "plain old telephones." The X5v is bundled with Zoom's Global Village VoIP phone service, which offers users a pay-as-you-go way to discover the benefits of VoIP.
